Bonfire 1.1 Release Notes

16 August 2011

The Atlassian team is proud to present Atlassian Bonfire 1.1! In this release, we bring you the ability to take multiple screenshots, use JIRA's default values when creating issues, add additional information to your test sessions, and much more...

Highlights of this release:

Upgrading Bonfire?

Bonfire 1.1 includes updates to the JIRA server plugin, as well as major updates to client browsers. All browser extensions will need to be upgraded by visiting the "Get Bonfire" page from your JIRA instance after the server plugin is upgraded. For more information on upgrades, check out our Capture for JIRA Upgrade Guide

Highlights of Bonfire

Multiple screenshots on an issue

Bonfire now allows you to capture multiple screenshots against an issue.

You can also pick which issues you've worked with earlier to attach new screenshots to. Of course, Bonfire's screenshot annotation tools also work for all screenshots that Bonfire captures.

Additional session information

On top of session notes, Bonfire now lets you enter additional information for sessions. Make your test sessions richer: put in test objectives, details, tips on what to test or look out for, it's all up to you.

The additional information is wiki-markup enabled, so you can give it all the formatting you want.

All the information you entered about the session is available in the browser extension as well, so you can quickly refer to it during your testing.

Default values when creating issues

When creating issues, Bonfire will now respect all of the default values that you have chosen in JIRA, so you spend even less time having to set up templates, or changing values when creating issues.

Automatic calculation of time spent in session

Bonfire now automatically calculates the time you've spent in every test session. Of course, the time logged can be adjusted when you complete each session.
