Bonfire includes browser extensions for all the major browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. The browser extension allows you to capture issues in your JIRA projects directly from any web page, take and annotate screenshots, use issue templates, manage test sessions, and much more.

Note that Bonfire does not currently support any mobile browsers (iOS, Android, etc.).
You will also need the Bonfire JIRA plugin installed on your instance of JIRA before the extensions become available.
Downloading Bonfire Extension
To download the Bonfire browser extension, go to the "Get Bonfire Extension" page in the "Test Sessions" drop down in JIRA. Bonfire will detect your current browser for downloading the extension.
Installing the Bonfire Extension
Firefox
- After clicking on the "Download Bonfire" link, click "Allow"
- When prompted "Install" Atlassian Bonfire
- Restart Firefox
- Start Bonfire for Firefox by clicking on the icon in the toolbar in the top right. Alternatively, you can start Bonfire by Going to "Tools -> Bonfire" in the Firefox menu.
Chrome
- After clicking on the "Download Bonfire" link, click "Continue" at the bottom left of the screen.
- When prompted, "Install" Atlassian Bonfire
- To start Bonfire for Chrome, click on the icon in the toolbar in the top right.
Safari
- After clicking on the "Download Bonfire" link, double-click "bonfire-latest.safariextz" in the Downloads dialog.
- When prompted, "Install" Atlassian Bonfire
- To start Bonfire for Safari, click on the icon in the toolbar in the top left.
Internet
Explorer
- After clicking on the "Download Bonfire" link, click "Run" to begin the Bonfire installer.
- When prompted, "Run" to launch the Atlassian Bonfire IE plugin installer. Please ensure Internet Explorer is closed for the installer to run.
- After the installer is complete - restart Internet Explorer
- To start Bonfire for Internet Explorer, click on the icon in the toolbar. If this icon isn't visible, you can also start Bonfire by going to the "View" menu and selecting "Explorer Bars" -> "Atlassian Bonfire"
Please note, for Bonfire to operate correctly, you must ensure that cookies are enabled on your browser.
Connect Bonfire Extension to JIRA
After installing the Bonfire extension for your browser, you will be prompted to log into your JIRA server by providing a user name and password.
To reconfigure your connection to the JIRA server, you can click on the "cog" icon in Bonfire above the Tabs.
