Email Notifications Setup

Zephyr provides our users with the ability to set up and receive email notifications. These email notifications will notify users of the operations that they are doing or the test cases that they are assigned to. Administrators can set up the email notifications in the System Config page within the Administration section of Zephyr.

When setting up your email notifications within the Administration pages, Zephyr provides you with an option to test if everything is set up correctly by sending a test email.

Email Notification Scenarios

When the email notifications are set up,

  • the users will be notified when their test manager or lead individually assigns a test case to them.

The email will include details of the test case that was assigned along with the test case ID.

  • the users (owners of the test case) will be notified when a test case is edited, deleted, cloned, or moved.

These actions occur for both individual and bulk operations.
