Zephyr 6.6 User Interface Overhaul

With the release of Zephyr Enterprise 6.6, we’re bring a whole new look and feel to the Zephyr Enterprise product. We’ve decided to perform a major user interface overhaul to update the color scheme to match the SmartBear colors, fix alignments, and improve several functional UI improvements. We’ve significantly improved the user interface to create a unique and overall better experience for our users.

The top and left navigation menus have updated color schemes to really drive home that Zephyr is a part of the SmartBear family!

Zephyr General User Interface Overhaul

Zephyr Login Page

We’ve updated the generic login page for Zephyr to provide our users with a unique feel that resembles SmartBear products. This new login page is designed to provide our users with a new slick feel when logging into the Zephyr application.

Zephyr Release Page

We’ve updated the release page to have a larger panels that can be easier read with all the information presented for the current release selected. The visual representation of the test cycles in the release are presented in a much cleaner manner.

Zephyr Grid View Update

The Zephyr grid views have been updated with all new button layouts, folder and text color scheme changes, and we’ve added the option to display the Tag column for the grid views.

To view the Tag column, users need to edit the grid view columns to include it. It is not automatically included in the grid view by default.

Zephyr Pop-ups Update

All Zephyr pop-ups have their color schemes of their buttons updated to match the rest of Zephyr’s new color palette.

Zephyr Close and Save Buttons in a Fixed Position

All Zephyr pop-ups that have a Close and Save button or Close and Update button will now be set in a fixed position within the pop-up module. The viewer can scroll in the pop-up and the buttons will remain fixed at the bottom of the pop-up module.

Zephyr Functional User Interface Improvements

We have provided a functional UI update to the Test Executions when viewing an individual test case. You can now click on the row of a test execution when viewing an individual test case and this will redirect you to the test execution.

The entire test execution row is a link to the individual execution.

Zephyr Defects Button for Test Executions

We have fixed an issue where the defects ‘D' button was enabled for all test case executions including test executions with the status set to Passed and WIP.

The ‘D’ button will only be available for test case executions where the status is set to either Fail or WIP.

The 'D' button will not be available for test case executions where the status is set to either Passed or Not Executed.

Zephyr Test Execution History

We have fixed an issue where any updates made to the test case execution status to and from Not Executed were not recorded and reflected in the Execution History for the test case execution. Now, Zephyr will properly record and display the changes in the Execution History.
