Server upgrade for Embedded DB

This section applies specifically to the Zephyr Enterprise product. The information below is generally used to ensure that system administrators can update their Zephyr Enterprise product instance for an embedded database. 


This section provides step by step instructions for the upgrade steps for Zephyr 5.0 Server:

Upgrade Steps

  1. Take a full backup of the existing Zephyr instance
  2. Uninstall Zephyr Enterprise Server 4.8_13818 (or any other supported upgrade version)
  3. Install Zephyr Server 5.0
  4. Run the matching Zephyr Server 5.0 upgrader utility and use the backup data to /wiki/spaces/ZEE50/pages/80183551
    1. Check mode :  Run the 5.0 upgrader in check mode first to verify the back up data contents.
    2. Upgrade mode: Upgrade to 5.0
      1. For Windows:
        Once Verification is done at above step (i) run the upgrader from the command line as an Administrator
        Add the command listed below after filename navigating to the location where the upgrader is located.


<upgrader file name> -VzMySQLPath='C:\Program Files\Zephyr\mysql\bin\mysql.exe' -VzMySQLCnfFilePath='C:\Program Files\Zephyr\mysql\my.ini'

5. Verify the upgraded data by logging to Zephyr server.
