JIRA Capture makes it quick and easy for you to create comprehensive issues directly in JIRA, without ever leaving your web application.

Creating the issue

Creating an issue is done under the 'Create Issue' tab in the JIRA Capture browser extension. As you select the project and the issue type, JIRA Capture will update the issue creation form to reflect the same fields that are available in JIRA's create issue web interface. JIRA Capture also allows you to quickly attach screenshots to the issue you are creating with the Attach screenshot function.

You can create issues faster by using Templates and Variables to pre-fill information.

Creating Sub-Tasks

An issue can also be raised as a sub-task by selecting a sub-task issue type in the project create form.

The parent of the sub-task is a "Related Issue" attached to the current Session. Only valid sub-task types for the project will be selectable. You will then be able to select which of the related issues should be the parent of the issue currently being created.

Contextual information for issues created using JIRA Capture

When creating an issue using JIRA Capture, useful contextual information is captured to assist in debugging the issue. This information can be viewed on the issue page.
