You can migrate projects from various test management tools to Zephyr Enterprise in three ways by using the following means:

  • ALM Migration Wizard (recommended to migrate data from HP ALM).

  • REST API operations.

  • Excel spreadsheets.

The table below contains brief information on the available migration options:

Summary

Preferred when migrating data from HP ALM and Micro Focus Quality Center. Involves using a migration tool, ALM Migration Wizard, that communicates with both Zephyr and ALM during the migration process.

A fallback method (if, for example, you cannot migrate some data in any other way). Involves using REST APIs to migrate assets to Zephyr.

The simplest migration method. Involves exporting assets from an existing tool to spreadsheets, and then importing them to Zephyr.

  • Releases that have only one character in their name

  • Test cases that have a priority in HP ALM

  • Cycle phases whose name contains only one character

  • Custom fields that are not used in requirements and test cases

  • Сustom fields of the following types:

    • Lookup list

    • User list

    • Float

  • Users

  • Execution history

  • Custom fields

  • Attachments
