« Previous Version 8 Current »

Starting Release 8.2, Zephyr Enterprise documentation has moved from its current location on Atlassian to a dedicated, standalone Zephyr Enterprise Documentation page. Please see: https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-enterprise/docs/en/zephyr-enterprise/zephyr-user-guide/requirements/importing-requirements/import-requirements-from-jira.html

  • You can import Jira requirements to Zephyr only if Jira is integrated with Zephyr.

  • If Jira requirements have changed after being imported to Zephyr, you just need to synchronize the data.

Import steps

1. Click Requirements in the menu on the left, and then click Import above the list of requirements:

2. In the subsequent dialog, select Jira:

3. On the next screen, you can either specify a JQL query to search for certain requirements, or just click the Search button to get a list of all the available requirements:

4. After you get a list of found requirements, you can either select some of them and click Import Selected or click Import All to import all the found requirements.

View the imported requirements

To view the imported requirements, go back to the Requirements page, click Imported in the tree of requirements, and select the folder whose name contains the JQL query you specified when searching for requirements. The imported requirements will be in the table on the right:

If an imported requirement has an attachment, you will find a link to it in the Description field. Right-click the link and select Open link in new tab from the context menu to download the attachment. If you just click the link, the attachment will not be downloaded:

Manual Jira Update

This functionality pulls the latest details of all the Jira requirements attached in the Jira Import Folder of the respective release. It does not pull details from JQL in Jira Import; hence it will not pull any missing Jira requirements.
