About Jira Webhooks
A webhook is a callback over HTTP used to notify Zephyr when certain events occur in the integrated Jira instance. Webhooks are used to synchronize Zephyr requirements, information about defects and other data with those in Jira. Webhooks are created in two ways:
Zephyr creates pre-configured webhooks automatically while you are mapping a project in Zephyr. In this case, there is no need to perform any additional actions - you can just update the created webhook later, if needed.
You, as an administrator, create and manage webhooks manually. This can be useful if you do not have (or do not want to create) a Jira service account with permissions required for automatic webhook management.
This section describes how to create webhooks manually.
