Migrating to Zephyr Enterprise

Starting October 11, 2024 (Zephyr Enterprise 8.2), the Zephyr Enterprise documentation moved from its current location on Atlassian to a dedicated, standalone Zephyr Enterprise documentation page. Please see: https://support.smartbear.com/zephyr-enterprise/docs/en/migrating-to-zephyr-enterprise.html

You can migrate projects from various test management tools to Zephyr Enterprise in three ways by using the following means:

  • ALM Migration Wizard (recommended to migrate data from HP ALM).

  • REST API operations.

  • Excel spreadsheets.

The table below contains brief information on the available migration options:

Summary

Preferred when migrating data from HP ALM and Micro Focus Quality Center. Involves using a migration tool, ALM Migration Wizard, that communicates with both Zephyr and ALM during the migration process.

A fallback method (if, for example, you cannot migrate some data in any other way). Involves using REST APIs to migrate assets to Zephyr.

The simplest migration method. Involves exporting assets from an existing tool to spreadsheets, and then importing them to Zephyr.
