Description
Global Test Repository
  • Zephyr is introducing the long-awaited and innovative global test repository which provides users a centralized test case folder structure.
    • Introducing a brand new page and space for users to manage the global test repository which mimics the interface of the original test case repository to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Allows users with the functionality to reuse test cases located directly from the global test repository across all project and releases.
  • Sharing and copying test cases from the global repository to projects is easily completed via Zephyr intuitive drag-and-drop feature.
  • Allows sharing and copying test cases from the global repository to the project test case repository.
  • Allows sharing and copying test cases from the global repository to the specific release test case repository.
Project Test Case Repository
  • Addition of a project test case repository to contain all project owned test cases.
    • This includes all test cases across the project and releases.
    • Separate from the default release test case repository.
Release Requirement Repository
  • Enhancements and additions provided to the requirements repository. 
  • Ability to allow users to organize requirements in a specific release requirement folder or in the project requirement folder.
    • Project requirement folder houses all the requirements for the entire project and across all releases in the project.
    • Release requirement folder houses all the requirements for that specific release (separates the requirements in each release).
Test Case Versioning
  • Overall enhancement of test case versioning, quality of life changes and increased functionality.
  • Ability to allow users to preview an individual test case version and its' corresponding test case fields.
  • Ability to allow users to compare two different test case versions in a side-by-side view with color corrective annotations that displays the differences between the two versions.
  • Ability to allow users to rollback to a previous version of a test case after utilizing the test case version comparison.
Test Case Sharing
  • Enhancements to test case sharing.
  • Ability to provides users the option to share test cases across multiple projects and testing repositories.
  • Ability to share test cases directly from releases from other projects in the system.
  • Users are able to share test cases that are located in the global test repository.
Test Case Usage History
  • Ability to view the usage history of an individual test case and preview all the executions of the specific test case which includes additional information that assists users in tracking the usage of a test case.
Test Case Execution History
  • Ability to view the execution history of an individually planned test case execution.
    • Statistics are provided for the execution history which allows users to preview what fields and values are changed/edited when executing the individual test case execution.
Dashboards
  • Enabled users the ability to set a default value for the refresh rate for all gadgets within dashboards.
  • Enhancing dashboard functionality and customizability by providing users to drag-and-drop gadgets within a dashboard to maneuver the gadget position.
  • New Gadget: Execution Analysis Snapshot - A pie chart displaying the total number of executions that is broken down by test case execution (latest execution statuses).
  • New Gadget: Plan vs. Actual - Bringing over the existing report to the dashboards which provides users with a collective and configurable plan vs. actual report.
  • New Gadget: Test Case Count - gadget that strictly displays the test count for each release and project as well as individual folders for both.
Global Sorting
  • Enabled users with the ability to sort the possible sortable columns for all tables in Zephyr.
    • Sorting columns is available in ascending and descending order.
Test Case Reordering
  • Addition of the ability to allow users to reorder their test cases in the test repository by utilizing Zephyr intuitive drag-and-drop feature.
  • Reordering test cases are completed in a different window to ensure users have full preview when reordering.
Test Step Copying and Deleting
  • Added the capability to copy one or multiple test steps within a test case to allow users to reuse test steps among an individual test case.
  • Copying test steps is as easy as 2 clicks with simply copying and pasting the test step in the desired location.
Hiding and Unhiding Test Cycles
  • Provided the ability to have test leads with the option to hide or unhide specific test cycles to reduce real estate of the calendar view and to improve the organizational outline and framework when setting up the testing cycles.
Requirement and Test Case Descriptions
  • Provided users with a robust option that includes rich text formatting to the description text fields for individual requirements and test cases.

  • Added a new window when previewing test case versions and comparing two different test case versions.
  • Added a new section labeled as "Executions" when previewing an individual test case to view the usage history of the test case and when the test case was used within projects and releases.
  • Added a new section labeled as "Execution History" when previewing the test case execution to view the history of updates and changes made to the test case execution.
